In February 2026, I collaborated with the PraVan Foundation to conduct a series of 3 workshops for the women affiliated with the PraVan Samman Programme, who had previously received skill-training in fields such as sewing and design, IT, cooking, hair and beauty etc. The aim being to provide additional knowledge, skills, and training to enable participants to further leverage their skills to pursue micro-enterprises. These workshops utilized the FoundHer Checklist available for view under the 'Resources' tab, to introduce participants to foundational concepts and skills in entrepreneurship through a series of interactive, activity-based sessions.
In May 2026, I launched an online fundraising campaign through Milaap with a goal of raising INR 76,541 to support FoundHer’s mission of advancing skilling, entrepreneurship, and economic independence for women from underserved communities in India.
The fundraiser was designed to help cover costs associated with PraVan Foundation’s vocational training programs, entrepreneurial development resources, program infrastructure, and the SheStarts Seed Fund, which provides selected participants with foundational livelihood support, sewing machines and startup assistance to help them build sustainable, income-generating futures.
Following the completion of the skill-building programme, a portion of the funds raised through the Invest in Her fundraiser was directed toward PraVan Foundation to support selected women participants through micro-grants, livelihood resources such as sewing machines, and other forms of seed funding. This support was intended to help women pilot home-based ventures or small business initiatives while simultaneously strengthening PraVan’s broader vocational training, women’s empowerment, and community development programmes.
Furthermore, between July and August 2026, I launched an interview series documenting the journeys and barriers faced by women micro-entrepreneurs across India. Through conversations with both aspiring women and those working at the moment, this series captured lived experiences of balancing household responsibilities, negotiating gender norms, and going beyond social expectations. These stories were compiled and shared via short video reel and/or written profiles to build on their collective visibility with a wider audience through my project’s open-access website.
